CLEARING IS NOW OPEN

Clearing creates opportunities to find your perfect course. If you have not yet secured a place and you want to study fashion, graphic design or business and kick-start your career this year, LCCA is here to help make that happen.

The Clearing period can be hectic, but we’re here to help make things as smooth as possible. Finding the right institute and the right creative course to study should be an exciting moment in your life and will be one of the most important decisions you will have to make. That is why at LCCA we are here to help you all the way, so you can start your lasting career in the fashion or creative industries.

It’s a mistake to think clearing only occurs in the week following results day. Clearing actually starts in July and ends in September.

From 5th July, you can find a list of Clearing vacancies on the LCCA website. This gives you plenty of time to prepare and plan.

To help you find the perfect creative degree to study this year, we have put together some useful resources and information that you can use to plan and stay organised through the Clearing period. It all starts here.

You should consider the Clearing route if you:

• have only just decided to study at university.
• haven't received or accepted any offers.
• didn't meet the conditions of your offers.
• received your results and want to consider new options.
• changed your mind, perhaps after a gap year.
• might want to study a different course than you applied for.

The next step - Applying through Clearing

You can see which of our courses are in Clearing by looking at our website and also on the UCAS website.  If you are in Clearing, your status in ‘UCAS Track’ will reflect this.

Once you have decided which course you are interested in, you should get in touch with us to discuss your options and receive a provisional offer. Remember to have your UCAS Personal ID number and your exam results at hand when you call.

Here are some clearing tips for you:

• LCCA places can be limited and this is a busy period, so make sure to apply as soon as you can.
• When you are applying, ensure you are prepared and have all the relevant information on hand so it’s a smooth process for you. Download our ‘Clearing Guide’ to make sure you have everything you need.
