On Tuesday 5 November, LCCA hosted a careers event with guest speaker Tristan Knight, Regional Director of Human Resources at the prestigious hotel, Rosewood London.
Tristan Knight gave an in-depth insight into hospitality management as he discussed the Rosewood culture and how to deliver a five-star service.
Carmen Andreica, Careers and Student Services Manager at London College of Contemporary Arts, said: “The event has been a great success; Tristan has delivered a memorable talk, full of energy and enthusiasm and values that have been quickly passed on to the audience. Our students learned important lessons and were extremely delighted with the lecture.”
Throughout his presentation, Tristan emphasized the importance of having a people-centred, flexible approach in hospitality and how this style translates into strong staff engagement and delivering a higher standard of service to customers.
The event, which concluded in a question-and-answer session, was very beneficial for students as they learnt about the most fundamental attributes needed in order to develop a successful career in hospitality.
Overall, LCCA students found that they learnt a lot about leadership in the hospitality industry and what it takes to succeed in maintaining luxury standards.
